I know right?! Two songs in ONE day, that's maaaaadnesss.
However, I couldn't resist.  After posting the Goyte video (which features rising star Kimbra) I simply had to share my favorite song of hers.
I cannot express how in love I am with this video, which is rare for me.

Then again I've always been a sucker for a guy in a Fedora.

Kimbra-Good Intent

'You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness..'

Ok so that line freakin hooked me.  I love when songs speak the truth!
This guy is the person to KNOW right now (so of course I didn't find out about him until yesterday)
Gotye is his name (anyone know how to pronounce it properly?)

This is his first big release.  He seems like a pumpkin, but I just can't decide where I fall.  I don't love him, I don't hate him, I kind of want to give him a hug because he looks so sad.

What do you all think?

Gotye- Somebody That I Used To Know

For anyone who might not know how the actual sinking part of the Titanic occured, here is a CGI (or really fun cartoon) of exactly how it went down.  Today is full of interesting facts, but don't forget over 1,000 people died in just about the worst ways possible. Now come on and learn some history.

I fell in love with this song while doing edits on Book One of The Sin Collector series.  I felt like it gave that sense of urgency found in some of the final fight scenes. Agree or Disagree?

The National-Cherry Tree

Instead of a soundtrack listing on this, one of the holiest of high holidays, I bring you this Banned Nike commercial!

Don't get slashed kids!

So I got a call first thing this morning from my Mom.  She saw this video on YouTube and it reminded her of Liliana so much that she wanted to share right away.  I personally adored the video as well, and think it's an overall great song.
What do you think?  Does it capture Lily?  Score one for Mom?

Jason Mraz- I Won't Give Up

No soundtrack entry today, pretty heavily immersed in the Summer Novellas.  However, since when do I ever leave you hanging?
One of the best motivational songs out there. You all rock, don't forget it!
Listen, do awesome, repeat.
Lurve you all!
(Lyrics Below Video!)
Do it now
You know who you are
You feel it in your heart
And you're
burning and wishing

At first, wait, won't get it on a plate
You're
gonna work for it harder and harder
And I know 'cause I've been there
before
Knocking on the doors with rejection (rejection)
And you'll see
'cause if it's meant to be
Nothing can compare to deserving your dream

[Chorus:]
It's amazing, it's amazing all that you can do
It's
amazing, it makes my heart sing
Now it's up to you

Patience, now,
frustration's in the air
And people who don't care
Well it's gonna get you
down
And you'll fall (fall)
Yes you will hit a wall
But get back on
your feet
And you'll be stronger and smarter

And I know 'cause I've
been there before
Knockin' down the doors, won't take "No" for an answer

And you'll see 'cause if it's meant to be
Nothing can compare to deserving
your dream

[Chorus]

Today's song is one of my favorites.  I had a really hard time finding a good version so I threw a video together myself.  Ben Harper, if you don't know much about him, is a lyrical genius.  This song in particular, speaks heavily to the feeling of seeing someone after, say, 100 years.
I also love the religious aspect to its name.
Enjoy!

There will be no Novella about William.
However, since I posted a song that I felt represented Rebecca and Thomas, I thought I would give him a day too.
If you've read the book, do you think this portrays his character evolution well?

In case you had some Easter questions, you are not alone!  :)
