Love this song, and found it to be fitting as I continue on with Lily's story.
"Cause in this life you must find something to live for;
cause when the  darkness comes a callin'
you'll go back to where you were before.
Cause  this life is as fragile as a dream,
and nothing's ever really as it  seems..."

No Reason To Pretend-Aaron Sprinkle

A friend just shared this one with me the other day.

Do you love it as much as I? I feel it is a very Castus-y week.

Revenge-Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse, featuring Ashley Cardaman and the Flaming Lips

LOVING this version of the original spiritual song.  Nina Simone is most often noted for her version, but this is so gritty that it's perfect.
What do you think? Castus theme song?

Sixteen Horse Power-Sinnerman

Between the haunting music of this song and its intense imagery, I have been listening to it nonstop as  I write.

Hope you all love it (and Norah Jones newer sound)

"far off in the distance
somewhere you can't see
allegiances have formed
your destiny..."

A really cool song, and is symbolic of the war to come in The Sin Collector series.

The time is coming to choose a side, and the choice is not as easy as you think.

This song is for Lily and anyone who wants to go back to that *one* moment that seems to have slipped away.

Have a great Monday everyone!

I think the words to this song are a beautiful war cry for my fighting Collectors.
I'll include the lyrics below the video.
Much Love today all!

A Fine Frenzy- We Stood Up
We are not frightened anymore,
we stood up, we stood up
and there
are two of us there will be more,
they'll show up, yeah they'll show up
they'll show up

blame a change of mind
a seismic shift in times
they told us not to fight
but we'll fight it till we die

cos' we are not frightened anymore,
we stood up, we stood up
and
there are two of us there will be more,
they'll show up, yeah they'll show up
they'll show up

and so they sunk every ship we sailed
but we stood up, we stood up

and they fought hard, but somewhere fighting failed
they're all shook up,
they're all shook up
all shook up

steel and concrete break
beneath the steady waves
of fearless hope
and grace
in kindness there is strength.

I fell in love with this song while doing edits on Book One of The Sin Collector series.  I felt like it gave that sense of urgency found in some of the final fight scenes. Agree or Disagree?

The National-Cherry Tree

So I got a call first thing this morning from my Mom.  She saw this video on YouTube and it reminded her of Liliana so much that she wanted to share right away.  I personally adored the video as well, and think it's an overall great song.
What do you think?  Does it capture Lily?  Score one for Mom?
