We are here today with Gabriella di Luca. She has been fighting evil in every venue for over 500 years. She was kind enough to join me today on her way through town for a short interview. Don't let her pretty face and polite demeanor fool you, she is a warrior.

Welcome Gabby, is it alright if I call you Gabby?

Yes, Gabby is perfect. I prefer it actually.

Where were you born?  How old are you currently?

I was born in Naples, what you would now call Italy. When I lived there, it was known as the Kingdom of Naples. I was born on November 1st in 1507. So, I would be…*pauses to think* 505 now.

Is there an era you have a particular fondness for?

Perhaps because I was born in it, but I still have a love for the Renaissance. The enlightenment of the past was being rediscovered, new ideas were being born. The Church had less of a restrictive hand. Though, I have to say that I do admire this modern age as well, especially how women have more of a voice.

Have you ever been in love?

*looks down at her hands and laughs* Yes. Twice, in fact. I loved my husband, Dario very much, though it was a love of youth and innocence, before I knew of the evil of the world. My second love was Dimitri Van Helsing. We met while both hunting the same creature, though he mistakenly thought it was a vampire. *chuckles* Still, he stayed until the hunt was complete and we grew close. I’d forgotten how it felt to grow close to someone…*blinks and clears her throat* but it wasn’t meant to be in the end.

What is your most treasured possession?

That would be my sundang. It’s a Malaysian sword with a wavy blade. Mine in particular was created millennia ago by demon slayers. I’d actually tracked it to Paris when I met Dimitri. He traded with a collector and gifted it to me.

What do you consider the most overrated virtue?

*Smirks* Ironically I would say Chastity or Prudence as it was called. I know, my husband fell to Lust but, I think people who deny their nature end up worse than if they indulged with some moderation.

What is your motto in life?

“Cambiano i suonatori ma la musica è sempre quella.” Which means “The melody's changed but the song remains the same.” To me it means throughout time history repeats itself.

I like that very much. Beautiful and quite accurate.

What really moves you, or touches you to the soul?

Family. Though the right song at the right moment has been known to move
me.

What do you consider your strengths?

I’m strong, capable, smart, and I never give up on what I really want.

What do you consider your greatest weakness?

*Smiles* I have no weakness. I am invincible. Truly, though, I would not give it away for my enemies to use against me.

That's understandable. Last question I promise and then you can get going on your next crusade with your...friends.  *glances up to see three men waiting awkwardly and one woman impatiently tapping her foot*

What's the most important thing in your life? What do you value most?

Currently? Retribution. Some need to pay for what they have done.

Thank you for coming Gabby. Stay safe and possession free.

A Prescription for Delirium,
with main character Gabriella di Luca will be released December 1st, 2012.
See below for book synopsis and information about its author Noree Cosper!
A Prescription for Delirium

"Ninety years ago, Gabriella di Luca promised to protect the family of her  dying lover. She failed to keep that promise.  She was too far away to  stop the devil that murdered the eldest Van Helsing son. Years later,  Gabby learns the devil has resurfaced. She arrives in Hampton, TX,  determined to stop the devil before it can lay a bloody hand on the  remaining three brothers.

However, madness is spreading  through Hampton. She suspects the devil is using this madness to test a  drug which has a side effect of demonic possession.  Gabby rushes to end the source of the madness only to fall victim to it. For a woman cursed with eternal life, dying is no threat. However, Gabby must stop the devil's plot or risk losing her most precious possession: her mind."
Noree Cosper loves writing about magic in the modern world. While  growing up in Texas she constantly searched for mystical elements in the mundane. She buried her nose in both fiction and books about Wicca,  Religion, and Mythology. Everyday became an adventure as she joined a  group of role-players, acting out her fantasies of vampires, demons, and monsters living in the world.

She embraced her nerdom wholeheartedly.

Noree grew, but never left her love for fantasy and horror. Her dreams pushed her and her hand itched to write the visions she saw. So, with her  fingers on the keys, she did what her heart had been telling her to do  since childhood.
She wrote.
