This song is right for so many reasons, I don't even think I need to list them all.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately guys.  I have been heavily into writing The Sin Collector sequel.  I know you are going to love it, in my opinion it is already a million times better than Book 1.  Hang tight all, and read Book 1 so you are ready for the war!

Jeff Buckley- Hallelujah

I adore this song, and I've hesitated to post it for a bit.  However, Liliana as well as every Collector's faith is a HUGE part of The Sin Collector.  Their faith in themselves, and their faith that they are on the earth for a good and hopeful purpose. This song is so light and airy, but the lyrics are a fantastic personal prayer.

Haroula Rose- If I Could Pray

I love the music and lyrics to this song equally, which is rare for me.  I think the song itself can relate to Liliana's insecurities in many ways.  Especially toward the men in her life.

Happy Tuesday, and Enjoy!

It begins slowly in the first installment of The Sin Collector.  The realization that Liliana, upon finding her own people, is facing a war.  This song easily represents the almost calm beginning of that realization.  Being nearly done with The Sin Collector sequel I can drop the teaser that the body count grows quickly, and the war, the genocide of the Collectors, becomes much more sobering to everyone involved.  Be sure to read Book 1, so you as the reader, are also prepared for the battles that await.

John Mayer-War of My Life

For those of you reading/having read The Sin Collector, you will remember the story of Lilacs.  This song is pretty old, and not very well known, but I've always liked it.

I am putting the soundtrack on hold for the day and giving you something better.  In honor of Read Across America Day, which is also Dr. Seuss's birthday, here is one of my favorite childhood books!

Whether you're 15 or 40 lean back and remember a time when reading was not only fun, but downright catchy!

Also don't forget, kids shouldn't be the only ones enjoying this day. Clink on the link to your left, 'Buy The Book' and receive my book The Sin Collector 100% free.

Over the course of reading The Sin Collector, it is easy to forget that Liliana was human as a child, and spent a good deal of that time in an orphanage.  This song reminded me of what it was like to be a child, when you didn't know who you could count on.

I was especially drawn to the line for Liliana, who has stopped aging, and is constantly leaving her life to reinvent herself out of fear.

"Now I'm old and feeling grey.
I don't know what's left to say
about this life
I'm willing
to leave."
