This has always been one of my favorite songs. Due to Lily's physical description in the book, and from this song, our main heroine wasn't always Lily. I had started off calling her Raven. It was only halfway through writing that I felt as though she needed a more worldly, old fashioned name. So Raven became Liliana, but she is still my blackbird in every way.
